Unhappy transmission quick question. Weird thing... Rondo

OK, I need a quick response from all of you.

Do you experience the same what I do?

When you want to shift from P to R you need to apply brakes. When moving down towards D - no need to put brakes on. Right?

OK, so lets move up. D to N - no brakes, N to R - brakes.
And finally R to P - no need to apply brakes!!

I found it when engine was shut off. I was rolling the car and then moved to P and realized that when it was in R I did not have to press brake pedal.

Did it again with engine on and parking brake. The same.
Does it sound right? Could you put into Parking without pressing a brake pedal??

Before I ask dealer, I want to know how it works with your cars.

Do you talk/text and drive? Watch it. Very interesting test:

Never mind, I looked carefully into manual. It does state you can shift freely into P from R.
