Cool Curious Cadenza Owner

I have had my first Cadenza now for 4 months and have yet to spot another one in my small town of around 50,000 people. Every single time I think I have one it is an Optima. What are the rookie go to identifiers for me to tell a Cadenza without breaking my neck looking for larger exhaust ports/tips from each car? Is the grill much different coming at you and I am missing it? Go easy now I am an old man of 61 with glasses but not of diminished capacity except on warranty issues thus far.

Thank you

I live in a city of two million and I have seen two ,one happens to park two townhouses down from me but he drives one because he , firstly is korean and secondly works for a Korean Trading company .the townhouse is owned by the company as well as the car and he is the second family living in the townhouse over past 5 years .

I was at my dealer for its semi annual checkup and my sales person said they have not got one Cadenza in 2018 or 2017 yet it was at the car show... Go figure

So we can agree they are few and far between even up north. I was looking for more specifics to the actual Optima/Cadenza coming at you on the road or sitting in a parking lot whatever. Just differences in general to separate them out.

I think the Optima grille is different enough from the Cadenza to tell the difference right away. The Forte grille looks more like the Cadenza and has fooled me a couple times until it gets close enough to see it's a Forte.

I've seen probably a dozen Cadenzas around the north side of Atlanta, including 2 or 3 of the '17+ revision.

I saw another couple '17+ Cadenzas this past week. I parked right behind one in the BJs Warehouse parking lot and saw another on my way home.

Cadenza's in Raleigh NC

I don't see many 17+ Cadenzas in the Raleigh, NC area at all. Even after buying mine, you know during that period where you begin to notice all the examples of thae car that you didn't see and missed before, I still have not seen another one in the month I've owned it. Works for me, my ride in unique is my area. And with the rebadging I get tons of looks and questions about my mysterious car lol.

I like unique as well. I regularly see Cadenzas around north Atlanta, but it's infrequent enough that I feel unique. I'm starting to see more '17+, but still see more 1st-gen than 2nd-gen.

I have a 2014 Cadenza, and it pleases me that no one else in town (I live in a fair-sized city in west-central Oregon) seems to have one. As against that, however, it concerns me that Kia may eventually abandon the Cadenza because of poor sales. But I recently learned that Cadenzas are popular in South Korea and Asia generally, so maybe I can continue to enjoy the exclusivity of the Cadenza here while relying on the success of this model elsewhere to keep it around.

I think they could share parts with the Stinger to make them both more economical to manufacture.
They could also switch it to RWD and share more with the Genesis G80 cousin.

If they dump the normally-aspirated 3.3 and offer either the turbo 2.0 or the twin-turbo 3.3 in all vehicles, I'd be happy - though they'd probably have to boost the 2.0 hp rating. Isn't it currently 245 hp in both the Stinger and Optima? They're going to need to up their game to stay competitive.
