Cost to fix 2015 Sportage Side Panel Scratch

Hi All,

So I screwed up big time today and scratched the rear driver side panel on my car as I was reversing into my parking spot. Long story short, there was ice and some over-compensation on my part. The scratch isn't that bad, but it includes small bit of paint and the black plastic fender trim. It looks like the part where most of the scratch is is a small plastic panel (fender trim/cover?) that shouldn't cost a lot? What I'm mainly worried about is the scratch in the paint at the edge of the door and rear panel.

I've include a photo that shows what I did. Could someone give me some insight as to what would be involved in repairing this and approximately how much it might cost.

Thanks in advance.

Give cobra259 a pm as he can give you a great price on the plastic trim as he works as a parts mgr at a kia dealer.

You should get a few prices on the paint work , but I would guess 4 to 5 hundred $.

So, I ended up going to the dealership. The cost for the complete repair (labor and all) was about $860. The entire door and rear panel had to be re-painted and several parts needed to be removed.

Moral of the story, don't scratch your paint...

Thanks for the help guys!
