Exclamation Att: European KIA and Diesel KIA owners

I am trying to build a data base to help European and Diesel KIA model owners find free online manuals etc. for their vehicles that is not available on the USA based kiatechinfo website. The European KIA hotline site is for small repairers etc and does not cater for most forum members needs. If you have come across a website that you think can help European and Diesel model KIA owners access free online workshop manuals etc would you please post a reply in this thread giving details of what is available on the site and a link to the site if you can. I am sure a lot of forum members would be very grateful to you. Thank you.

I now have a DVD of KIA workshop repair manuals (2004 to 2008 models) which gives details of Diesel models. Is there anyway this could be uploaded to a website for everyone to access? Or maybe that would fall foul of copyrite law?

Either way if anyone wants a copy just PM me with contact details and I can mail a copy.

Thumbs up

Probably a copyright problem with uploading, but your second idea would help a lot of members. But it is up to you how you want to share your info. Good idea numptie9 as long as it doesn't cost you any of your own money or too much of your time to share your knowledge with other members.

Hi,

I am using few weeks this program - http://obdtester.com/hicom - for kia (incl. diesel) diagnosis. What was very helpful for me is listing of various ECU types at http://obdtester.com/hicom-eculist ;

If you look at some car (e.g. http://obdtester.com/hicom-eculist/h...tci_u2%28hp%29 ), it says this engine is equipped with Bosch EDC17 control unit. I have figured out it is possible to use manuals for different model (engine) that use the same system. Most diagnostic procedures work the same way and also mechanical stuff is similar if not same. I am sure it is not 100%, but it worked for me several times.

Links seem to have gotten a bit strange since I posted them, probably best if you go to Scribd.com and search common rail manual or Delphi or KIA workshop
