New to the forum! Joey Mod questions

I bought a Red 2005 Kia Spectra5 with 22K miles on it a few months ago. I got it for $9000 and I feel this is a steal.

I love this car. As this Photo gallery can attest to:

Anyway, this looks to be a great place for those passionate about the Spec5!

Next project, Joey Mod the lights. Any Spec5 users done this? I found a good walkthough for a Jetta online, and have pulled my lights to take a look at what's going to be involved. But some advice from somebody who has already done it would be very useful

Welcome to the site and congrats on the new ride. Now about the headlights.....mod them as clear the corners and possibly paint them?? If so let me know. I just did mine a little over a month ago.

Well, they do sell aftermarket headlamps with "cleared corners", but they look cheap, IMHO. Auto Parts and Accessories Catalog - 2005 Kia Spectra

The primer coat is drying on my headlamps as we speak, I'll post pictures once I get it all back together. (I'm not looking forward to re-assembly)

Hmm, that might be VW jargon. It refers to painting the reflectors in your headlamps. In my case glossy black.

For some unknown to me reason those corners don't look too clear. LOL

Here are mine.

Very nice!

Man, I wish they made projectors for our headlamps. :/

Hood Emblem

I noticed that the Kia emblem is removed from the front grill...
and there is a logo of sorts on your hood... I can't distinguish what exactly it is. Is it the Korean Kia logo perhaps?

Either way, it looks very cool that way.
Do you know if the hood emblem is on there with adhesive, or if it is bolted on?

Has any one else seen this? I'd like to do that to my Spectra5.
