Radio Blackout 2008 Rio
So a bit of a back story at first. I have had my 2008 Kia Rio for 4 years and 4 months and I love it to bits. It is my first car and it has been the best little car I could ask for. It is just over 60k as far as mileage.
I just recently started having battery problems and had the battery replaced. It was a factory battery, so I was surprised it lasted as long as it has!
Last night, I was having to jump my car after dying for the third time in a week, and after the jump my radio went blank. No error message, just blank. The rest of the vehicle has been working just fine since the jump and battery replacement. Lights, displays, heating/cooling, emergency, and all the important parts are working just fine.
I want to add this is something that has happened before. The radio went out for a few days, the dealership couldn't find anything wrong with it, and then it turned back on without any fussing.
I replaced the fuse under the hood this evening as it looked a little worse for wear. However, I am having a hard time figuring out which fuses under the dash are for the audio system. I tried following the diagram but it is very confusing.
Does anyone have any helpful advice? Any reason why this might happen if the fuses are not blown?
I do hope it's a simple fuse issue rather than the radio completely going out. I have a road trip and there is nothing worse than a quiet solo trip!
