Smile 2018 Porsche Macan S --> 2020 Kia Sportage SX

Hello All...back to KIA.
So bought my daughter a used 2018 Sportage LX and admired driving, comfort looks etc of the Sportage.

Always been a Porsche person in the past.

Just traded in my 2018 Macan S (with all options) for a 2020 Sportage SX

Why?
- Price - allowed me to pay off my wife's car with the difference

Thoughts in Comparison?
- Porsche was more comfortable and of course much more power (at MPG cost).
- KIA UVO blows away Porsche's PCM 3.1 w/Nav and AppleCarPlay
- Porsche brand has been very reliable for the 25+ years I have owned them (various models).
(However all the KIA's we have had....several - very very few issues...)

- KIA Sportage SX has some nice ZIP for a 4 cylinder and blows away most the competing priced cars.
Tried Mazda CX5(great looks but slow) / Tried VW Tig (great looks/warranty/slow) / Hyundai (decent looks/great warranty/slow)
I could go on...

Only 500 miles...Great Gas Mileage...Comfortable seats (however wish there was an extend option on the seat itself for your legs...we are all not small people) / Uvo Hands Free - top notch / Love the Mineral Steel color - always looks clean. Ventilated seats as others have said suck.

ADAM714 and kinglerch like this.

I agree with all but not sure what you mean by HANDS FREE UVO. I find UVO useless because I keep a MP3 Flash Drive plugged in and your cellphone needs to be
plugged in for UVO Parking, Health Reports emailed to you, etc. My SX is a 2017 so maybe they changed things.
I do LOVE my SX but the NAV system is pretty bad too. It never finds the address that I enter, especially if 1234 East Main Court Or Place or Way, etc.

Did the Porsche actually appreciate in value? Or had you just rapidly pay down the loan amount?

info

Ok so @SSportage

on the 2020 SX:
The button on steering wheel 1 punch brings up UVO Voice Assist which works with my iPhone to dial etc...Read Text Etc. A long push brings up SIRI and all her functionality.
Love it and works well...truly hands free.

As far as GPS - The Porsche GPS was pretty weak. The 2020 Sportage NAV is a lot better. Now my wife's 2018 VW Atlas NAV is one of the best I have used...but do like KIA's.

@Lou O. - had paid off the Porsche...but they do hold their value better than some cars.

I know this KIA won't hold its value - but if I like it - that's ok.
