I dunno yet Fred...I guess I'll find out when I get them installed. I think I'll have a little look through my friend Google.

this looks like a good start perhaps....

interesting that the TPMS also measures tire temp. I would find that interesting info to have displayed although its not likely something the general public would care much about . After all they are only doing TPM because they have to.

well, i ordered 4 TPMS sensors for my 17 SX from Fourgreen.com on Friday morning for my snow tires. They arrived at my door just now....from FREAKIN South Korea according to the FedEx tracking data.

All four are sealed in little bags with red Kia labels and the correct part number 52933 D9100 and even have a little holographic label on the bag labelled HYUNDAI MOBIS

They cost me $51 Cdn each, shipped to my door! $205 total from Fourgreen. The local Kia stealer dealer quoted me $165 Cdn a piece plus tax. That is so far beyond outrageous as to encroach on asinine.

I'm really tempted to contact Kia Canada and let'em know what I think of the way they rip off Canadian owners....or at least try to.

So a heads up to all you Kia owners up here in the GWN.....watch out for Kia stealers up here...its beyond ridiculous what they charge for parts.

As another example, to upgrade your oil change to 100% synthetic is a $100 upcharge for the oil change. Can you believe that? I bought a 4.73 litre jug of Valvoline 100% synth 5w-30 at Walmart for 28 bucks. I plan on taking that with me for the service appointment I have tomorrow morning.

Report back here tomorrow Sloppy! I bet they will say "We can't guarantee the work if its your oil..." Hopefully sanity and some common sense will prevail but there seems to be very little left of that in this world these days.

Thanks Sloppy!

Just ordered 4 TPMS from Fourgreen after you confirm you received authentic OEM ones. I got a quote from a local friend at about 55$ +tx for aftermarket sensors. Much better going OEM for same price, even cheaper.

For info, I'm currently planning my winter setup in 17'' on my SX. I don't know what you're planning to get as far as tire model but Blizzak WS80 are reasonably priced at Costco. 150$ a piece in 225/60R17.

As far as oil change here in Quebec, 2 local Kia dealer are charging 62$ for standard oil change (no rebate or offer applied, just standard pricing). They are pushing a 16$ BG additive which bring your oil to semi-synthetic level ...... NO for me. The upcharge for synthetic is about 45$ here, not 100$. Finally, I will also bring my own full synthetic oil for my oil changes.

i'm probably going to go for Firestone WinterForce snows. I've used them before, they are reasonably cheap, and, while they are a little noisy on drive pavement they are GREAT snow tires, and that's what I'm looking for. But I'll checkout the Blizzaks as they come highly recommended as well. Whatever is cheapest is what I'll likely go with in the end.

225-60-17s are an almost perfect circumference match to the 19s on the SX.
