So my clutch has been a little difficult to engage/disengage, whatever... whenever pressing the pedal down. After grinding gears all the way home today, I finally think to check the slave cylinder. The master cylinder appears to be dry.

This seems like warranty work to me, but lemme clarify a few things first... I'm not the first owner, so my warranty should be good until 5 years or 60k miles are up. It's a 2015 model, so it's likely not quite 5 years yet, and @ 55k miles, I should be covered there. I *have* changed the oil multiple times since buying the car from a dealer a couple years ago, around 40k miles... Oil change needed right now.

My real question is... Will the dealer require me to prove this engine maintenance when this is a hydraulic problem?? I've probly ruined the synchros in this vehicle by waiting so long to check the fluid... But the car being so new, I really didn't think that could've been the problem. Point is, however, that engine oil has nothing to do with the hydraulics busting a seal or whatever. Right? Is that how the dealership sees it?

Also, if my master cylinder is dry... How are my brakes still working?? Doesn't that seem odd???
