Hi,
I just recently bought a slightly used 2019 KIA Sorento LX that has the base UVO read only radio (w/o XM). I've researched the forum and other sights to plan this out. A few challenges:

1. Can't find a detailed wiring diagram for the entire Audio system to learn what the vehicle CURRENTLY has.
2. The radios listed in the ksmanual.com don't match what I have in the vehicle OR what's shown on this site: oem-kiaparts.com
3. Assuming the OEM Parts site is correct... I'm back to solving Challenge #1 .

My desire in upgrading the radio: (in order of priority)
1. XM (w/ AM/FM)
2. BT (phone and Navigation)
3. Uses OEM microphone (Preferred)
4. OEM SWC
5. OEM Rear Camera (w/bendy lines from steering)
6. GPS Navigation
7. Android OS
8. Nice size screen HD preferred

Requests:
-Does anyone have a link or access to full vehicle schematics?
-Has anyone successfully upgrades the base radio (w/o XM)?

Thanks for reading.
Steve

Have you checked out Crutchfield.com? With every radio they sell they include wiring harnesses that connect the new stereo to the existing wiring harness. Typically, it's a pretty seamless installation. You also can get adapters that allow the steering wheel controls to work. I'd think the biggest challenge is installing an XM antenna so that it appears to be OEM. You can find the shark fin antennas, but I don't know how one would wire them.

I have checked out them and others. The biggest challenge is finding an ANDROID based system that supports SiriusXM and Navigation (without using the phone or wifi)... I'd like to have the SiriusXM and NAV be able to work in places where there is no cell service or so I don't have to burn up data on the cell.

Any suggestions?

I guess I wasn't understanding that you were after an Android OS-based stereo ... not just a stereo that has Android Auto and GPS navigation. I found several that have AA and GPS navi, but wouldn't even know where to look for an Android OS unit. Good luck!
