I have a 2019 EX V6 and am getting a clicking noise. It sounds like it's coming from under the driver seat, but I'm not sure. Has anyone else had this?
Happens while driving, but if I try to create it by moving/rocking in the seat it won't do it.
I don't have this particular problem but the knowledge of the readers on this forum is amazing.
The replies are quick to all inquiries. I read all of them for future reference.
I have a 2019 Sorento EX V6. At 1250 rpm while in 8th gear (only in 8th) I get a high pitched “chirping” noise. I went to a local Kia dealer, and took a ride with the head service technician. Guess what. He heard it also. He said he was going to see if he could duplicate the sound with a Sorento from their inventory. He is also going to put this issue on the Kia service web. I hope they can figure it out. If nothing else, the problem has been documented.
Apparently the “chirping noise at 1250 rpm in 8th gear” in my 2019 Sorento got the attention of someone at Kia. I was informed today that a new transmission is being ordered today and will be replaced under warranty. I have owned six Korean vehicles: 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe, 2009 Hyundai Sonata, 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe, 2013 Kia Sorento SX, 2017 Kia Forte and 2019 Kia Sorento EX. The only other issue was a faulty alternator on the 2013 Sorento which was replaced under warranty.
