Angry 2019 Sorento Transmission Jerky

Is anybody having the issue of the car being jerky when moving off from a stopped position???? I had my new 19 Sorento back to the dealer 5 times. They had a transmission expert from the factory test drive it and try to re-program it. They agree that it indeed is jerky on the start up and slow down. The final result from Kia is that " the 19 Sorento all do It" ! They will not return my money nor trade me for another model. Never again will I buy another Kia after being treated like this. End of story.

Many people have commented how smooth the 19 transmission is, though I have seen some complaints too. Since it is not all 19 Sorento's, I am led to believe that your issue is repairable.

There are two different transmissions. 4 cyl gets the 6 speed and V6 gets the 8 speed. Which one are you having trouble with?

My 8 is good.
Lots of memories from years ago, when the Chevy dealers told me 'they all do that'.

There is a much longer thread about this somewhere in here but basically, Kia has issued a software update for the 8 speed and several have said it resolved the problem. If you find that longer thread, it has the TSB number for the improvement quoted in it.

Edit: here is the thread in question: https://www.kia-forums.com/2016-sore...itation-6.html

The TSB is mentioned on page 6 if the link doesn't take you direct to page 6.

Did you not test drive the car before accepting it when buying it?
