windshield replacement cost?

Got smacked by a large stone and windshield needs replacing. I got an online quote for $475 CAD--says it's $375 for the install and $100 for "calibration" (I take it that refers to the LDWS etc?). Does this sound about right, or am I being hosed?

That's a really good deal. I got quotes around that, but when I mention that I have the auto defog function it shoots up to $700-$800.

I replaced mine 18 months ago. $1000 - my insurance paid $500 and I paid $500 with my deductible.
It wasn't OE glass, but a "good" aftermarket. Its been fine since.
Its a "Pilkington EZ-Kool Ultra". Got it at Speedy from a guy I've dealt with "forever".

At that price sounds like they are using cheap aftermarket glass. They tried that with me on my 4Runner, went through three windshield installs, all with severe distortion in the optics, until the insurance company gave in and ordered up Toyota OEM glass. Ask to inspect the glass before install and look from a variety of angles for distortion (having someone hold a yardstick five feet away gives you a frame of reference). If it has even the slightest defect, refuse it until someone offers up OEM or a high quality aftermarket.
