This turned out to be plug and play kit. Even looks like stock D3S bulbs. Amazing quality, packaging and warranty. They even gave special gloves to swap them. More light output as well compared to the 4000K yellowish stockers.

Just two precautions:

Be careful to not strip the stock screws and losing them in the enclosure. I used a magnetic [emoji3465] pickup to be secure

Use the covers from the new bulbs on the old bulbs while handling and storing them. Also transfer the coil spring bushings from the stock bulbs onto the new bulbs.

Stock removed

RCP installed

Your product packaging, per your photo, indicates that you purchased the 66340HBI lamps.

The Xenarc Lightbreaker Laser: 4650K. That's the 66340HBI.
The Xenarc Cool Blue Intense: Spec'd by Osram at 6000K. Those are the 66340CBI.

So you may want to have a closer look at what you think you have vs. what you got.

Hmm, either way super happy with them for $26! Can’t beat that...

The Osram that you see are the stockers. The installed ones are the RCP ones. Will check what do they say tomorrow but have to remove the clip again.

That sucks but hey you are cancer free. Much respect to all of you riders riding into their 70s. I have couple of riding buddies 78 and 70. 78 year guy still rides a GSXR750 and humbles many in the backroads. I go for trackdays with the 70 year old. I can only wish I am able to ride into my 70s.

Ya have done a few trackdays with keigwins

Hi Crazy Biker...I notice in your pic; with your new lights ..there is a Shadow being projected across the fence line out in front of you Sorento..I have the same issue with my 2019 sorento with the factory stock lights ..& it not good when driving on rural highway the LOW bean lights only project out certain distance & when driving at 60 or 100 KM the distances for stopping is not enough in my option. Also I tend to focus my eye pass that dark line which can my one dizzy ..Also when coming into a incline in the road the distance become even shorter...Just made a complaint with Kia Canada..waiting for a reply..there are complaint in the U.S. about this issue..but there is not enough to make Kia fix it......lets start complaining here in Canada if you have the same issue.................

No shadows with the RCPs! $26 fix. You can complain the Kia corporate and keep waiting for a resolution. In the meanwhile swap them out. I don't know why I waited 2.5 yrs to do this. I was thinking there are no exact stock replacements otherwise I would have upgraded in 2-3 months.

You also have the LX with halogens. Mine is a SXL with stock HIDs

Glad you got them and like it. I do notice that the auto adjust dims them just a hint at startup but its still better than stock.

Hi CrazyBiker..Are you saying in your picture above, the one with the head light being projected onto to the white fence out in front of your Sorento "' Is not the new lights that your installed " ....

Interesting - I had thought it was identical to the Hyundai warranty. 5yr/60K bumper to bumper transfers to the new owner, but the 10yr/100K powertrain warranty does not.
Of course, Kia makes exceptions for CPO units where they provide the full 10/100 to the purchaser as well.

Hello fellows, I'm new to these kia's and this IS one thing i'd like to upgrade my headlight bulbs. so the little i read on this post these kia's have H7 low and high beams? I have 19 sorento ex with yelow lights. If someone could lead me towards LED'S OR HID'S though i read that if we have projectors NOT to use HID's??? appreciate it in advance..

If you change from a halogen bulb you run the risk of bowl burn with an HID, however a 35W quality HID bulb from CNLight (Morimoto, Diode Dynamics, etc) should not cause any issues as they run at a lower wattage and have a UV coating on the bulbs. Just stay away from cheapie kits from Amazon. Going with HID is the best upgrade for a halogen projector, but LED has come very close, and with the right LED product you can really get good results, and it makes for an easier installation as well. The benefit to HID is the color selection, whereas LED you get 6000k typically or higher. Source: I test hundreds of bulbs :D
