Stock are too yellow. But they is also mainly because the auto light control dims them too much. They start off really white and then dim to an yellow. Only on a pitch black road do they go up to full white.
Guess when I'm driving around in town at night there's enough ambient light that it doesn't appear as a problem. It's out in the weeds where I need bright, and they seem to do just fine there.
The stock HID headlights are 5k. I switched them out with 6K with bulbs from amazon. It makes a big difference and the best part is that it matches perfect with the color of the cube foglights.
Best part I found is that I was able to install the bulbs without having to remove the front bumper. I'm not sure what everyone is talking about having to remove the bumper to change the out the headlight bulbs.
Thats the installation info I was looking for. But how can you change to 6K without changing the ballast?
Anyone used a LED for low beams that actually works? There is an discussion for high beams but its easy to get lost as to whether LEDs work for low beams...
I have tried 2 LED sets and both worked well. Hikari Ultra's are awesome and the RCP7's were good too (but started to get loud and were having issues after a year.... glad they had a 2 year warranty). Both shine far, much more light, good pattern, and the Hikari Ultra's are very quiet. Both sets I have used match the factory LED lights good too.
I have not looked but does the stock HID harness work without splicing? I don't want to void warranty. I am already running the DRL mod but thats conspicuous and internal.
Any updates on this crazy biker ? Did you get them HIDs changed to 6k ? I got a 2018 Sorento SXL came with factory hids with auto levelling n adjustments. I feel the brightness too yellow compared to Fog lights was hoping if your got this done and tell if its worth it
