Does Sirius Satellite Radio forget to turn it off?

Sorento came with 90 days free trial according to both the salesman and Kia online. It's now been exactly 5 months since we bought the car and activated the radio and it's still going strong. Do they ever "forget" to turn it off or do they just let it run since they are so desperate for subscriber numbers? We've never given them any credit card info so they aren't secretly billing us. Just curious if anyone else is still riding the free train long after the trial period. I notice they are now offering a full year at the $5 a month instead of just six so I would probably take advantage of that deal if the service disappeared but free is certainly the better price

I should have tried that ! But I re-upped on the discount.
I had XM many years ago and the radio worked for only a week or so before it quit.
XM had lots of ground stations around Atlanta, GA at the time and was a reliable service in the car in spite of lots of buildings.

Wonder which of the two technologies (or both?) are in use on Sorento car radios ?

I didn't have the extended trial (or someone forget to turn it off) but did get the full year. Now they sent out an
email saying cost was going up a little to cover music royalties. I guess they expect subscribers to pay for the
music royalties instead of them.

Don't leave home without it.

Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth. I know of a few people who have lucked out and never been charged.

I went 2 years in my old Tucson not having to pay. One day it went away... it was a good run though. I now just pay $79 for the whole year in my 2018 Sorento

Why wouldn't they? LOL. If food costs go up restaurants pass it along as well.

For our 2012 Sorento, it went 7 months before they turned it off. No such luck on our other Kias.

Deals still available for $60/year with the right sob story.
Just renewed at that price, same as last year.

Wonder if their revenue would suffer or improve if they simply offered everyone this same low rate.
