Hey All,
Five years ago I traded in my Kia Soul for a Range Rover Evoque. Well, Im back, and this time with a 2017 Kia Sorento which I absolutely love.
My question is (and I have read the majority of the threads but if I missed it I apologize in advance) is it possible to swap out the HID bulb in favor for the LED bulb and does anyone even make an LED bulb to replace an HID? If anyone has, is it much brighter or even worth doing so in the first place.
Thanks in advance for any help.
OP appears to be in BC (Canada), so I believe the LEDs in H11 could be for lows as stated, but DRL/high H7 don’t seem to have a workable LED solution. Someone can correct me if I’m wrong re: the current HID setup.
BPS LIGHTING B2 LED Headlight Bulbs Conversion Kit - H11 100W 12000 Lumen 6000K 6500K - Cool White - Super Bright - Car and Truck - High, Low Beam or Fog Light - All-in One - Plug and Play
Not interchangeable b/w HID bulb and halogen bulb because of different bulb retainer. If this is wrong, correct me. OP, must replace to halogen headlamp for using LED.
Hi imapfsr. I have the HID headlights on my 2017 SX and am not entirely happy with the short cutoff of them. I would be interested to know how you feel about the LED headlights once you install them. Do they provide a greater range than the HID's? Thank you. Lou
Personally in my car I have tried both, I ordered my led kit from allxenon.com and for the price I was definitely going to give them a try, first I did the hid kit ($28) for color reference and then I used the LED kit and to be honest I was really surprised with the outcome and I also heard that LED are more reliable.
