I'll speak for @Danno001 - mine resembles his with the Kia brand on the driver's side of the deflector. I looked at the stormtrooper's picture again - looks like he has a different one. @CrazyBiker: My take is that it does work as i dont have bug splatters on my windshield on the occasions i drive in the night on the highway in sections that lack lighting. But that might be a lack of bugs rather than the deflector.
Just had the dealership do some spring detailing and put on my summer wheels (19" Rennen fastwheels) and the Canadian OEM hood deflector. I'm pretty happy with the results, just need to get the front windows tinted to match the back... and cross my fingers police don't give me a hard time about it
Thanks @josuet! I actually ended up really liking the snowflake wheels that came with my Sorento and was a bit nervous about the getting the all black summer wheels installed. Now that they're on though I love them and can't stop starring and grinning at my SUV.
New member. Just picked up my sorento. So far I like it. I put vinyl over the kia logo. I kind of like that look better. Plans are to black everything out and maybe some 20s
- Blacked out wheels
- Blacked out grille
- Blacked out chrome handles
- Blacked out chrome window trim
- Debadged model emblems
- KIA Front/Back/Steering Wheel emblems replaced with K Logo Emblems next week
If you are specifically asking about my whispbar crossbars, then yes i had some whistling initially because of the exposed holes underneath. I covered them with tape and the whistling is gone.
My advise is to not go too thin on sidewalls if you get new rims. Ride comfort is suffers in my opinion. I went from 245/45/20 to 255/50/20. I regret doing those online suggested sizing
Proud new owner of a 2016 Kia Sorento LX! This is my first Kia - we took it on roughly 400 mile round trip excursion this weekend. It was fantastic! Not really too many bells and whistles yet - those will probably be added slowly. First on the docket will most likely be the roof rack crossbars and then the chrome body side mouldings to match the chrome door handles. After that, I'll probably add the chrome lower side body mouldings.
We'll, it has been just about a year. So far all I've added (just today!) is an after market Bug Deflector. I've never driven with one before so it'll be interesting to see how it does.
Well I caved to the family decision and got a dad SUV.. but I have to say I'm pretty impressed by the 2017 Kia Sorento EX+.
Planned accessories as I wouldn't call these mods:
- trailer hitch
- front Kia weather tech mats
- rear cargo mat
- K logo emblems
- debadging
- halo headlights + HID conversion to both headlights and fog lights
- SX LED taillight conversion
- front driver & passenger tint to match rear (~30%)
- exhaust w/ baffles for the 3.3L V6 if it exists
I will have to post a picture after I add a few pictures. But, bone stock Regency Red EX+.
