Ok here it is:
Is it better to have 3rd party camera mounted vs not having one, YES 1000%!
Am I 100% happy? NO, about 85%, not bad.
If I would have bought the camera with correct spacing on the mounting back screws to fit the ORIGINAL bracket to mount in the original spot, yea I would have been 100% happy. Let me explain..........
The new camera would mount securely only via top of license plate otherwise I would have to do some home made job to mount it inside its original spot.
The bracket was pointing straight out, I bent the bracket down as much as I could before bottom of camera touched the license plate.
I was hoping to see my back bumper in the video screen but not enough down angle, its just about 6" or 4" shy\ahead of the bumper .
The camera is exposed, I don't know how long she will last.......
If I have to do it over again I will most certainly buy the one Bradley suggested as it mounts to the original bracket. (By the way my dice looking camera's 12 LED's do not light up.)
Overall I am happy, not a bad job! My girls are happy! Much easier to park in NYC having a backup camera.
Got a chance to take the trunk paneling apart and now can do it with my eye closed but hope to never have to do it again, LOL.
PS: have one tiny screw left over after I re-installed all of the paneling. It never fails, I always have 1 screw left over, LOL!
Thank you everyone and Bradley Morris!
Oh forgot to take a pic of the screen view, will get it tomorrow.
