Splash Guards

Has anyone tried any splash guards/mud flaps other than the OEM ones with any success? I have a set of the OEM KIA ones made for my 2014 SXL and they are not wide enough to prevent a lot of water/mud from ending up on the vehicle's sides.. I even added a few inches of extra rubber to the bottom (front and rear), and it did not help much. The OEM ones contour the body great, but don't stop much spray.

I want those long mudflaps But, my Sori came with sidesteps, so from what I read, You can't put them on? I don't know why? By the way, your Sori looks sharp! What kind of wax, or polish do you use? I like the wheels as well, are they org.factory? Also, what tire size do you have, they look beefier then stock?

Are those the factory OEM splash guards that you have in addition to the aftermarket ones?

@kiakruiser - yes they are oem ones this model year have all oem "mini" splash guards in canada, in USA i believe was for the sx only?
here's the link Basic Mud Flaps, Rally Armor
@MikDee
i just used the oem screws where the oem splashgurds are, measure how much poke you want for the outside, unscrew oem, poke holes screw and done..
its just laying over on top..

sorento is 2012 model bought in 2011 of june, maintained with turtle spray wax after wash+ detailer, but has been maintained with turtle black box spring and fall

the wheels are Braelin (canadian) (some models same with ace alloy wheels from usa), good thing is, it has a hub bore same as oem so no need for hub centric rings
same set-up as acura mdx, 18x8.5 255/50/19 (nitto motivo tires.. -the quietest i have ever had).. sorento is lowered with H&R springs, more for comfort side, but drives like a car now in maneuvering because i added strut bar..

I'm going to do this to mine for sure! Did you order the MF20-BAS-BLK or the MF12-BAS-BLK the 12 vs 20 inch?
The side and back of my car are so dirty in the winter after just a few hours on the road.
Also I have the all metal side steps do you think it would pose an issue?

get the 20 inch.. its for suv 12 inch is for cars.. you would still get dirt but not looking like you have been doing rally race dirt lol.. also less rock chips to destroy your sides..
i have not seen one with side steps but if you have those 2 screws to mount that is enough to hold them just put large washers to stabilize the mud flaps....

I really want to do a similar thing to mine. Different shocks, stiffening where possible, and perhaps go a little wider on the rims and tires.

I looked a few times but found nothing for the 2014/2014. Wish I knew more about these things. Bikes, I know.

I have an 07 and an 01 Yamaha FZ1. My Gen II has all the mods including ECU reflash, puts about 152 to the wheel.

My 01 is set up for touring. I have a Russell day-long seat and the bigger side bags now..

I also have a DR650 that I've 'tarded out..

I never thought to look overseas, thanks for that.
