Passenger side drive axle and intermediate shaft
2012 Sorento, 104,000 miles. Little bit of a rumble at low speed on smooth pavement, it matches wheel rotation speed and I don't suspect wheel bearings. The passenger side inboard boot is leaking grease, just gonna replace both drive axles. It 'looks' like I can just yank the drive axle on the passenger side from the intermediate shaft. I have both axles on hand but not the intermediate shaft.
Couple questions -
Can I indeed just pull the passenger side drive axle from the intermediate shaft?
Am I being penny wise and pound foolish? Should I just spring for the intermediate shaft and replace it also? Makes sense to do it while I'm there but not if it's a pretty much non-failure item.
