Question AC issues: dual temp control 2011 Sorento

2011 Sorento SX ac blows cold on passenger side, not driver side. Compressor and system checked ok for not leaking. Schrader valves replaced. Indoor filter replaced. Also noticed that the outside temperature sensor was not showing correct outdoor temperature.
Is the outdoor temp sensor in any way connected to the interior controls?
This condition has existed for some time.
All of sudden everything seems to be working correctly for the moment.
Thoughts?

P.S. Also just got a new battery during last week. Related..?

Just taking a guess here, but seems to be a vent problem not opening/sticking to drivers side???

A bad blend door actuator, temperature activator, might be the problem..
I also had to replace the battery last week. Since suddenly all is working correctly I wonder if the issue could be electrical?
