Just a quick update, I'm updating the list back in the original first post now that I have edit permissions.
Cleaned the smudges/grime on the headliner with a little TuffStuff sprayed onto a generic microfiber rag and some gentle elbow grease. We're getting down to the final few items and I'm super excited.
I've just finished the Ignition Start Button replacement, for anyone else who ever has to do this there is a small panel on the door-facing side of the dash that pries off and hides two screws. It's a pain in the ass to reinstall because it has a lip underneath the door seal. Also, part came 5 days earlier than expected after accepting a counter-offer on eBay on Wed. Kudos to Garry's Auto Recycling down in Florida for really stepping up to the plate in an unexpected way and letting me get this part installed over the long weekend instead of over breaks during my work from home days.
I am, however, beating myself up right now. During the switch replacement, I had the door propped open and was working in my 1-car garage. I didn't realize that at some point the door was touching a 2x4 on the garage wall. With me moving around while sitting in the seat/leaning on it, the door now has a spot where it rubbed a bit of paint down to the color coat on the edge of the door. The joys of being 6'2" and 250 lbs and trying to work on cars "gently". Going to have to get that touched up/fixed.
Basically, my goal with this 100k mile car is to get it looking and working like a 50k mile car. So far I've spent $200 on parts, and I'm fairly confident that I'm within $500 worth of parts/labor of that goal (or less if I decide to test my worth as a polisher and not just a wax/basic detailer). The price difference in buying a newer, lower mile car would've been nearing the $5k mark from what research I've done.
