Unhappy problem in the fuel system

Dears,

I have Sorento 2012, and I have problem in the fuel system, unfortunately I don't know what is the reason so far,

I had problem in the fuel gauge, it didn't give the correct reading of the fuel in the tank, but now it seems be Ok.

the current problem, once I was drive the car suddenly it stopped, I tried to start it again but didn't accept, whileo the fuel gauge was in the middle,
So, I thought that, the car fuel tank is empty and the fuel gauge reading isn't correct, therefore I asked my friend to help me to drag the car to nearest petrol station, and I asked the guy their to fill the tank fully, he started with his fuel gun, but after about 30 letters the gun stopped automatically means the tank now is full !!!!! ( for the same car the full tank is 70 Letters).

So far I don't know what is the problem and why the car had stopped? and why it accepted only 30 Ltrs (which means it had 40 Ltrs in the tank) or the car tank stopped because the tank was really empty.

this story happened three times. So, before the gauge comes down little pit I refill the tank fully to avoid the situation.

please, can you help me to explain or to let me know how to solve this problem.

In meant time, I checked the car and I got error ( P0106 ) I think there is no relationship between the two problems.

Thanks

Calm down a little. Many people would have looked at your post and were curious as to your problem. in reading your post i myself cannot add anything as I've not had this issue.

someone will be on that has more technical knowledge and will look at your post and be able to offer help. this could take time.

Cant do much from here and dont know your capabilities..

However you report having issues with gauge and fuel delivery..

I would be checking for an issue with the ground at the sender and the fuel relay..

Seem like the fuel pump is not working..

I have two thoughts on this...

Some sort of junk in the tank gumming up the line... fuel draw pulls junk to the line... jams the line... car shuts off... filled up, junk washed away from the line intake... rinse and repeat (less likely), or a fuel pump issue. My wife's 2012 Sorento had a fuel pump die in a few years back, so I wouldn't be surprised at all if it is the fuel pump going.
