its ok...as i said before it will be bouncy.. ride will be better but spring is softer.. lowering will decrease shock travel.. thats why cutting it is a solution.. it will lower 1.2 inch front and rear.. this is not uncommon with lowering...

Hhhmmmm I might just sell the springs on eBay then. I like the look of the way it looks dropped. But at the end of the day I travel with my family a lot on weekends and this is my daily.

having bigger rims like 20-22's is really stiff for the car, plus its heavy.. the springs makes it a better ride, why i suggested cutting is the bumpstop is pure urethane cushion i believe.. when it lowers it will hit it.. you will think you hit the limit of your shocks but not.. thats the bumpstop..
but depending on your load are you 5 adults traveling all the time? is your city well paved?
the spring is more for comfort and lowering the center of gravity.. the sorento wont feel like tipping over on quick maneuvers
also i have a strut brace which helps.. if you are scared to do it do some more research.. my purpose of lowering was 3 things;
1. its windy in our area, helps a lot..
2. ride comfort, stability
3. looks
koreanwheels and esco289 like this.

heres another summer update, enjoying life, summer.. went for 12hr drive went to vancouver and vancouver island enjoyed the ride there.., i have placed the urethane cushions on the rear as i was towing the bike so i wont sag as much as i am lowered with H&R springs,
i would have not bothered if it was like 2 hours only but this time i decide to put the ttc urethane cushions back.. it worked really well, if you are not towing anything, it feels like almost having a stiff rear sway bar, making you think you are driving a RWD suv... as it prevents to squat, acceleration feels better.. i replaced the dynomax super turbo as it has rotted.. same style but different brand, was cheap 150 for the exhaust and labor (Xlerator) seems to have better component.. tone did not change.. still have that nice growl over 3500 rpm but quiet at idle and cruising 120kph, the nitto motivo so far i have no complaints, i am at 90k km's now and it is hard to see the wear, i have 19x8.5 +35 with 255/50/19 tires, its really a quiet tire and very good in the rain.. anyway here..

if wondering why the sorento's paint is still mint (bought june 2011), just spray wax after wash, spray detailer in between.. and i used turtle Black box once a year...
if not black just use paint polish (meguiars ultimate polish) and wax (ultimate compund prior to).. keeps the paint from fading if have road debris grime etc. claybar will be best after a wash.. then the p[olish and compund.. once a year is ok..
