Question new MAF installed...stalls after 1/4 mile

2006 Kia Sedona..

vehicle was running rough and rich.took it to AZ these codes came up with the recomendation of replacing MAF.

P0174 syatem too lean
P0420 catalyst system below effiency
P0171 System too lean
P2187 System too lean at idle
P0101 Mass airflow circuit below threshhold
P0420 Catalyst system effiency below threshhold

I replaced the MAF sensor, vehicle runs much smoother and better overall.the problem now is that after starting and getting down the road 1/4 mile or so it stops accelerating.it doesnt die it just stays at idle. If i shut it down ( sometimes it takes 2 or 3 tries of this) and restart everything is fine to get to work. its 30 miles. But after work it does same thing to get home. any thoughts?

Hi...
How many miles are on the car? What maintenance has been performed on the car?
It looks like the catalytic converters on the car are past their prime and can be causing lean conditions...
Also if you bought a "cheap" MAF sensor off of ebay or amazon they are KNOWN to cause problems as they don't track the same as OEM MAF sensors and the ECM relies on proper feedback to run properly...

the catalatyc converters are next on my list.not sure of maint history though. but I am thinking this latest problem did not happen BEFORE MAF sensor change so it has to be related to that. Is there something that has to be reset after changing MAF sensor?

Do you have any new codes being reported?
