2000 sportage runs bad and then good

I have a 2000 sportage, when I bought it 2 years ago It drove great one time and bad the next drive. Being in the used car buss and a half mechanic I thought I could for sure figure the problem out. Well after 2 years and and a lot of tries -----I need help.
In 1 out of 10 time you can start this car and it will run good, the other 9 times it acts like it is running on 2 cylinders if that. I had a friend that had a 2000 sportage and I took off all the electrical parts I could and switched them and it made no difference. I called the Kia dealer and was told 98 to 2000 sportage had a problem in the wiring harness and caused a intermitant ghost ground. I have a new mech now and told him nothing that I had checked out before. He thought it was injectors and was wrong. I need some new ideas.
Thanks bad sportage

the dealer has already told you the problem.

you have to dissassemble the wiring harness and fix any and all bad connections. generally these are the connections to the MAF sensor that are poor, or the ones for the ignition coils.
