Is there a trick to removing the master power window switch?
Does the whole door card have to come off or can you just pry it out?
I've removed the handle on the armrest and tried to pry it out with a screwdriver. The switch is made of plastic so I don't want to pry too hard and break it. My rear windows aren't operating and I would like to take the switch out so I can clean the contacts.

Thanks.

the service manual says the switches can be removed by removing the plastic pocket in the door just behind the switches. there is a screw in the bottom of the pocket, remove that then pull the pocket out, you should then be able to reach inside the door to release the locking tabs and the switches will then pull out. i havent actually done this but that is what the manual says

Thanks. I saw the service manual about this and that's why I thought it should just pop out.
Anyway I can feel one of the metal locking brackets through the door pocket. I've tried compressing it with my index finger while prying with a screwdriver from the top but its so tight in there I can't get it. I'll go ahead and remove the door card to get a better look, no sense in breaking anything.
I don't suppose the door card will come off completely with the wiring hardness still attached to the window switch so hopefully I get it off enough where I can snake my arm behind it and get at the locking bracket.
