I have acquired two 6 inch long approx 1/2 inch wide sratches on the front nearside corner of my Sedona. It has taken off the paint and left two black shallow gouges.

Anyone know of a good repair company? Anyone used Chips Away or one of these mobile dent repair people?

Ask your dealer who they use.
Chips away 'can' be good, but as with every franchise, you have your good guys and your not so good guys, shop carefully!

It really shouldnt cost that much to repair scratches and small gouges....
My best friend is a body shop owner.... I see cars in there with whole doors that need repairs from deeep scratches and will cost with painting 250 or so...
Just to give you an idea of what it should cost.... a little bondo and paint and walla done..

Hello Simon,

My last vehicle before my Sedona was a Renault Scenic.

A few months before selling the car, a little towrag decided to use the bonnet as his personal grafitti board and scratched his initials, ( not deep ), in large format.

On one of my shoping trips to Sainsbury they had a mobile dent & scratch remover thing going on in the car park.

Duly impressed I had them look, the main man took one glance and said " not a chance" and any mobile unit that said otherwise was wrong, he said it was a body shop job.

I was surprised at his reaction as I didn't think the damage was that bad.

That's as far as my experiance goes and by your decription, I would say a body shop but it costs nothing to get a couple of mobies' to take a look and give advise remembering they want your money.

I may get slapped for this but IMHO never do/have exterior auto' paint job done in cold weather.

I would say in most cases, you can't beat a workshop finish.

Putting my head on the choping block I don't think you'll see much change out of
£280-00.

Well finally agreed to get this done along with a large "supermarket dent" acquired in Costco's carpark, yes and they have the wide spaces. Was not good as the person next to us had the door ripped out there hands by the wind, so plenty of leverage and it made quite a mess of the door skin of the Sedona. Fortunately wifey was in the car with the kids (both asleep the kids not the wife) when it happened, so we got the necessary details and I now have the money in the bank.

Total cost £420.
