I just had my new wheels put on my car a few days ago. The wheel weights they used are the ones that stick on the inside of the wheel with looks like double sided tape. I havent ever used a wheel weight like this before. The steering wheel has a slight vibration at around 70mph. I have only used the ones that mount on the edge of the rim. What are your thoughts about the stick on wheel weights. Im not too impressed with them. Im thinking Im going to have to have the ones that mount on the edge of the rim. I would have them mounted on the back side of the rim like I have always done with my aftermarket wheels so you cant see them. What are your thoughts on this issue.
Thanks.

Unless you wnat the rims all scraped up you gotta have them in the back. all aftermarket rims have the wrights on the back.. It must be that the shop didnt balance them correctly bring it to them and tell them...

personally I get a sahke in my 01 with the stock rims with the crappy weights but with my rims it perfectly smooth.....

Yeah thats what Im going to end up having to do is bring the car back and have them rebalance them. I dont even have to look at the speedometer to know Im doing 70 or above. The steering wheel lets me know.

Also dont let them make you pay again its their screw up. say you want them high speed balanced. if the shop you go to does that. its more precise. and a better balance at higher speeds...

If you have a problem and they tell you to pay go to vermont tire warehouse on shelbure rd... great rim and tire ppl.....

I had them mounted and balanced at VT tire on the Williston Rd. I already called them an complained and they said that they will fix it free of charge. Im going to drop it off on Thursday.

Stick on ones are excellent at what they do, and when you want to come and remove then, they're slightly easier to take off. Do the same job, but cost the garages less to be delivered.

But snoopie on nice aftermarket rims you cannot put the ones that go on stock tires as they would ruin them by scratching them to hell!

Stick on wheel balances go on the back of the alloy or either the front by mounted inside, they would NEVER touch the tyre. You dont put stick on balances on tyres.

sory for the misunderstanding I thought you were talking about the ones that are front mounted... I also have the flat weights that are in the rear of wheel due to having my 17" aftermarket rims...
