Default Heater Blower Motor Resistor

Hello

Has anyone tried to repair a faulty blower motor resistor?
The fan only works on the highest speed. The resistor is a dealer only
part and costs $100 including tax-none of the junk yards that I have contacted have the part.

thanks.

Hey, I believe my 2002 spectra has the same problem, even if its on hot or cold, you have to have the fan speed on 4 before it will turn on, 1, 2, and 3 fan speeds do nothing. Are you sure its the Blower motor resistor? thanks
