Problem With Gear Rattling.

Hi,
I'm new here. Got this problem with my Spectra 2003 (manual).
There's low rattling sound wehn in 3rd and 4th gear.
Appreciate any feedback. Sent to Kia agent twice, but problem still persists.

Id say it is a heat sheild on the exhaust. they are made of cheap thin aluminum and tend to rust then rattle. I take mine off at this point and so does kia.

Hi All,

I have Kia SHuma II 2001. I hear rattling noise while in 2'nd gear. This occurs only when I am on a rough road.

Looks like the noise comes from the top of the car. I bought a second hand car just two months ago.

Please explain in detail what can be done to solve the problem

Hi thanks. But the rattling sound is from the upper part of gear, around gear stick.
