I have found out, and been told, that nitrogen is good for the tires for our belowed cars, my friends!
Mr. Chris Longhurst gave me this explanation, when I adressed hi, on the issue:
"Nitrogen in the tyres is used for a couple of reasons. First, it doesn't "seep out" through the rubber anywhere near as much as regular air, so the tyres ought to stay at the desired pressure with very little maintenance. Second, it doesn't expand as much when it heats up, so the tyre pressures remain fairly constant when driving.
The downside is that if you do find a tyre which is a little low, you can't just top it up with regular air - you have to find a nitrogen filling station to do it."
Mr. Longhurst runs these pages, which most of us might find very informative:

My question is, to the esteemed members of this forum, which might recide in the Metro Cebu area; is there anywhere I can find a nitrogen filling station, in this terrific city?
Thank you in advance, for any and all info you might have!

Buy a bottle of nitrogen.. Get yourself a regulator and use a stardard tire filler/pressure gauge combo and fill your own tires..

Hi! I'm sure that there is a nitrogen bottle refilling station somewhere in Cebu. Just like what 2004riotuner said, just buy a bottle of nitrogen and a regulator the same as what the welders are using for their cutting torch and a tire refilling hose. It would be much better if you can get this nitrogen bottles in smaller bottles so you can keep it in your car for emergency use. Keep truckin' with your Sorento!!!!

Hi, guys, that might just be the way to do it!
And the Sorento, -my Sorento- will be released tomorrow, -and yes, I am indeed looking forward to that! I might pour myself a sip of Tanduay this evening, a sort of "pre-celebration" so to speak! I'll raise my cup to each and all Sorento owners, in the Philippines, and elsewhere!
I will try to pass on a rewiev when I have driven the vehicle a bit more than around the corner, ok?!

Did mine with nitrogen. 5 bucks a tire it inst that pricey.. Good thing with nitrogen is you will rarley ever (if ever) have to refill them.. nitrogen dont break down like oxygen(evaporate is what they said I think)..... they were explaining it to me when I brought the tires in to get on.

Hi all!

For those living in the autonomous region of Fairview and its environs, there is a newly opened bridgestone store / shop which has nitrogen. They charged me Php 60 per tire (US$ 1.15?) which is cheap enough. Excellent customer service too.

The establishment name is Autoactive Trading Corp. It is at Commonwealth Ave, a few meters after the traffic light at Regalado Ave (go straight, not right).

Happy driving!

Minerva sa Alabang.

I learned recently that there is no significant gain or advantage for us ordinary drivers if we use nitrogen. There will be differences but it's too small to be felt or noticed.

I used to have nitrogen in my tires, now I just use plain air.

Use compressed air instead.
