checked out eibach springs' website. they have nothing for a carnival/sedona. looked at the link, too, but they sell only original kia accessories. frustrating that given the numerous aftermarket shocks out there, it seems none are available for a kia carnival/sedona.

found out that kayaba actually has aftermarket shocks for a carnival. however, car parts dealers here only offer the model for the RS (w/o) ABS), i.e. 335024/25 while the kayaba website specifies a different part no. (335042/43) for the LS (w/ ABS).

can anyone refer me to the kayaba distributor in manila? can't find any listed in the website or the phone directory. if not, would you advise using the available RS model for my carnival LS?

thanks very much in advance, guys.

When I got my carnival in 2002, I immediately changed the shock absorbers to Old Man Emu brand. Bought and installed at RATS along katipunan before the newly finished C5 underpass if you're coming from ateneo. It's not cheap but it's not that expensive either. Not sure if improvement in handling will be that noticeable. But the yellow shocks look great. Best to visit and ask for advice. By now they may also have springs available for Carnivals.

You may also want to check and replace worn out suspension bushings including control arm bushings, body mount bushings, spring bushings, etc. Too bad high-quality polyurethane bushings aren't available in the Philippines. We'll have to settle for the mediocre black ones at the casa.

interesting about the old man emus. i installed them in my sport trac last year, i think also from RATS but in pasong tamo. they said they didn't have a model for a kia carnival. website says the same. hence, the kayaba's, which has a kia carnival model per their website.

you're right about the bushings, of course. had them changed already, but the shocks really need to go. hopefully the supplier can source the right model.

Maybe it's not specifically stated in their list that there is Old Man Emu for Carnival. But that doesn't mean there really isn't any. Here's a pic of mine installed around 4 yrs ago. It's still functioning great. Sorry, labo ng pic. I really should upgrade my cell.

can i trouble you with the part no. of your shocks? like i said, i also went to RATS (in pasong tamo, but the same owners as katipunan) and they told me they didn't have a model for a carnival. i'd like to try again. many thanks.
