Default kia pride custom intake

<PInas> I was planning to change my stock air intake to a zimota one but the thing that kept me from changing it are the hoses that attach to the stock intake in which u cant attach them to the zinota, so i was wondering on what to do? O.o

Default no worries...

I already installed a Simota intake on my 98/99 GTX Sedan. There are really only 2 hoses connected to the stock intake. Both are mostly for enriching the fuel to air ratio for cold starts (not really a concern here in Pinas) and reduce emissions. The larger one from the valve cover recycles emissions from the head back into the carburetor, and there is actually a removable 90 degree elbow on the bottom of the Simota intake that you can connect that hose to. A more popular option (which I also use) is to replace that hose with a breather filter, which Simota also makes. The smaller hose that is attached to your stock intake comes from your carbon/charcoal canister which traps vapors from your fuel system and recycles them into your carburetor. Disconnecting both of those hoses will NOT harm your vehicle's performance. Just DO NOT plug the holes that the other end of each hose was connected to, because plugging those holes WILL harm your vehicle's performance (that's why we use a breather filter). Don't worry about the gasses vented from the head and canister; they are still mostly trapped in the engine compartment and sucked into the carburetor through the open Simota intake.
