Smile KIA PRIDE LX 96 compatibility with E10 gasoline

Need Help with my KIA Pride LX 96 model.

I have recently bought an OLD KIA PRIDE LX 96 and I am aware that there is a Law in the Philippines that will mandate the use of E10 on every gasoline in 2011. I wonder If my PRIDE could withstand the E10 gasoline. Please help me with this matter. thanks...

Here in the states. The majority of gas at stations is already e10. and ive never heard of any older cars having issues. Its only 10% ethenol which isnt much. I wouldnt worry about it personally.

Thanks for the info XxxMonoxideChild. I don't have to worry about my old car after all. It's just our country is new to this concept of E10 and some car manufacturers here wants to be on the safe side since there is no formal testing here for older vehicles with E10. Maybe a good information will do to lessen the dilema of motorists in our country.

E10 shouldn't cause any major problems for you, but you will get slightly less milage than with regular unleaded petrol. The main problem with the ethanol is that it can tend to dry out gaskets etc. in fuel systems, but usually only in higher concentrations. Hope this helps.
