Wink Any advice for Clutch Replacement Brands

Good Day!

My mechanic has replaced the clutch/transmission parts of our KIA Pride LX Sedan bcoz our car got stalled along the highway and got a busted transmission.Though he ordered the parts to be bought as "replacement brands" I'd like to opt for the original ones. Feedbacks from friends told me that sometimes its better to use "Replacement Parts" instead of opting for the "Original" since most of them are made a little stronger. The clutch have been previously replaced some 4-years ago with original parts...any advice or feedback on what can be a better alternative/choice will be very much appreciated. Thanks and more power to the forum!

The original parts will at least last as long as the last clutch did.

You can get non-original parts that are far superior to the original ones fitted in the case of the clutch, belts, tires, etc. ....... but there's a good deal on very inferior quality non-original parts out there.

If it was me, I'd install a non-original clutch that is superior to the original.

You need to know what non-original parts are available in your area, and which ones are good.

Thanks Ron!

Yeah I've replaced it with another brand actually, bcoz the mechanic has opted for it also. it's also made in korea where the original has been. only that, the original feels softer to step on rather than the new one which is a little stiff...nevertheless the shifting of the transmission is good and the ride is soft. thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it! :-)
