Default Rattling Sound when Accelerating

Hi,

I have a '95 model of kia pride and i got this problem with it. Everytime I would accelerate, i would hear a rattling sound. The car runs well all the time but when you press on the gas pedal to accelerate, the engine rattles like the cylinders are full of marbles. I just want to have an idea before i have a mechanic take a look at it. Any inputs will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Default Rattling sound no more

Hi, its me again.

Thanks to all those who viewed my query. Anyways i was able to solve the rattling sound that my car was experiencing. I 've search and read somewhat similar to my problem and lo, i hit the answer. The rattling sound was produced because my car timing was off. I tinkered with it last weekend and did the following: Adjusted the air+fuel mixture, carburetor idling and the timing in the distributor cap. I tested my car and the rattling sound was gone. It was so nice not to hear that rattling sound again. No need to go to a mechanic. Anyways, i just want to share my experience with it. Btw, internet forums are great!

Hi, would it be possible for you to explain to me how you did all those things to stop the rattling?

I love that feeling of solving something without going to the shop. Doing stuff yourself can also give you confidence in your car because you slowly learn about every car part in the car. Bleeding brakes, changing sparkplugs, replacing fluids, flushing radiators are all good examples.
