Talking

Hi, Hoping someone can help. Vehicle just returned from service and have what I feel are weird entries on Invoice.

Operations carried out:
Checked and repacked wheel bearings

Recommendations:
LHR wheel bearing seal starting to leak

Seems a bit suss to me, if they really checked and repacked bearings why didn't they just replace seal?
I had actually notice a leak on hub before taking in for service.

Previous service also had me a little worried, within a 1000 or so after the service 3 problems had arisen.
1. Aircon belt had snapped
2. Hand brake wasn't even holding at full stretch
3. R wheel bearings (both) needed replacement

Any help on whether it's possible to repack bearing without disturbing seal would be apreciated.

ah just a thought although may be wrong it seems when they say repack bearing that means they re packed it with grease, that would most probably be the ones in front, but the back ones o doubt because it is lubricated with fluid oil from the bell house which is the round thing in the middle of the rear axle although i may be wrong but it is almost sure rear bearing dont need to be repacked since honestly in my point of view if some one would go to the trouble of removing a bearing just to regrease it hey might as well change the bearing labor is getting to be more expensive than the parts hahaha well at least in the philippines. for the hand brakes hmmm that seems to be a problem with the kia vans my besta hand brakes worked sometimes and mostly not enough to hold it in a fairly slopy slope the pregio now seems to be the same also , by the way is your pregio a matic or manual would like to ask a few things if it is a matic thanks

beejay has a point, i have a kia pregio as well and always had the front bearing problem, and normally i just buy new one (1 set include the seal) and replace it myself. so it is not posible to repack with out removing the seal, except, they only replaced the outer bearing only
