Hi,

I have a Kia Pride M reg, and have just been told that my starter motor has gone, but as i dont have any money at all to spare to get it repaired, i was wondering if there was any way i could fix it myself, or any hints on how to make the repair as cheap as possible.

Thanks for all your help

I think its just a matter of finding where its located, moving any parts that are in way and unbolt unplug, then bolt back up, plug in the connector start and go!

hello regarding the starter of a pride, just how broke are you coz it doest not really take much to have it fixed i think it might cost you about 6 to 8 hundred you can try to bring it to a shop along herran corner san marcelino, look for joseph electrical shop they charge relatively cheap although you may even try looking for a surplus, although i would rather have it fixed since when they open it at least your sure its going to be put back well if not like new as good as new, where as the surplus yup it may work but who knows how much more the carbon brushes are good for or the bearings and other things
