Default Financial Software Alternatives?

Posting this here trying to see if anyone is familiar with this:

I'm looking for freebie type software (similar to quicken that can download account activity) in order to help keep up to date with all our finances and i ran across this:

Free Personal Finance Software, Money Management, Budget Planner and Tools, Online Financial Planning - Mint.com

anyone know anything about this? I am a little worried knowing its web based and when setting up your account, they ask you to enter you account number and password

You want it to download your personal account data, but are then worried about giving your account info for it to do so?

If you're worried chunk down the $30 or so for actual secure software.
