Smile Kia Hybrid Lover :)

Hello I'm a relatively new Kia Optima Hybrid owner. I bought my car in October 2012 and am absolutely in love with it. It is by far the best vehicle I've ever owned. I had concerns over being able to drive it in Alberta's winters, but I am thoroughly impressed with how capable and efficiently it drives, even in some pretty horrid conditions! I live in Gibbons, AB and commute to Edmonton daily, which is a lot of driving on notoriously bad highways in winter. I owned a Hyundai Santa Fe prior to this car, and I traded it in for this. Couldn't be happier!!! I've checked out this forum intermittently over the last few months, and thought I should join so here I am! . I am a 36 yr old mom of two boys (13 - soon to be 14 and getting his learners license! Oh boy!! :-/ and a 10 yr old) I work private security in a construction company, and use my car for personal as well as at work. I have an amazing hubby (who wants to buy a Kia Sedona in the next couple of years) and we have 3 dogs; an Akita, a sheppard/Rottie cross and a Min Pin/Chihuaha cross; all 3 are rescues. I look forward to reading and learning more about my car and Kia's in general. Thanks to the people who created this forum!

As jetech says... WELCOME...
I/We hope you continue to enjoy your Hybrid Optima..

We ask respect for ALL posters even "if" your "point of views" are different.

I would also worry about a 14yr old behind the wheel ...although some children of our farmers drive much larger/more expensive/and capable of doing much more damage machinery (Tractors)... It has to do with how mature your child is... Good Luck!
