Default 2002 sportage wont turn over

I have a 2002 sportage and it wont turn over. The lights and radio all work but it just wont turn over. Can someone tell me where the starter is located.

Just follow the hot (RED) battery cable! I had this problem and it was a connection at the starter! I pull up on the cable then tried it and it started right up! Try cleanin g the connection!

Before you go for the starter motor try giving the battery terminals a clean. Dirty terminals will still give you lights etc but can have enough resistance to prevent the car from starting. If terminals ok make sure leads to starter motor and chassis earth are clean and tight. To find starter motor just follow the positive battery cable. Hope this helps
