Default 1998 Kia Sportage - Shift Knob and Door Stuck

I have a 1998 Kia sportage and I have 2 questions I was hoping someone could help me with!

1. The rear passenger door is stuck! It has been for quite sometime, for about 4 years, it was previously owned by s relative, I was wondering if someone could tell me how to manually open the door from the inside.
Thru the internal door panel, or anything to get door open

2. When driving, the gear shift knob rattles annoyingly the only way I can stop it's rattle is to hold it in place, which is hard to do while driving. Can someone tell me a fix or a way to tighten it or if a new knob would help and how to put one on!
Suggestions welcomed!

Please help!
Thanks in advance

If you remove the inner door trim you should be able to get at the connecting rods to the lock if you pull on them you should be able to get door to open. Give the lock a spray with wd40 or similar first. If you have a manual gearbox the knob should just screw off anticlockwise, try some plumbers teflon tape on the thread to tighten it up and then put knob back on. If that doesn't solve it you might have to check to see if the gearlever bushes are ok and the lever itself is tightened up properly. Hope this helps.

Start by taking off the door interior as far as possible like he said, lol. I think there's a screw that holds the inner door handle on. Remove the handle, maybe you'll find that the long rod fell off the handle? or worse, the long rod is connected and it fell off the latch :P..
