2002 Sportage has transmission problem
Hi, new to this site. Hopefully someone can help. Working on a 2002 Kia Sportage 4x4 which has 140,000+ miles on it. The problem is that when you put vehicle in DRIVE and then let your foot off from the brake,car just sits there. You can feel it go into gear. It's like you still have the brake on. Once you step on the gas,the car will move but you can tell the tranny is slipping. Once you get up to 55mph the tranny seems fine. No slipping and car will down shift into passing gear when needed. Have scanned computer and the only codes it has is for a (P0753A)Shift Solenoid A Electrical. I replaced this solenoid at the tune of $403.00 (Dealers price) and car still acts the same. If anyone has had this same problem, please let me know how to fix it. Thanks
