Heater fan is located above feet of passenger in HVAC ductwork. It is very easy to replace and I believe it only requires a phillips screwdriver. Should take you about 10-15 minutes to replace. I figure if you can screw in a lightbulb...you should be able to change fan . Before you buy one, you may want to take it out and see what the problem is, like full of leaves or is the cage fan screwed up. If it is bearing noise, just pop it back in and you can get a new fan off e-bay for about $55 shipped.
Good luck and tell us how it goes.
