Exclamation 99 Sportage TPS wire problem HELP!

Hi everyone,
I have a 99 Sportage with TPS problems...
My friend was being kind enough to assist me in troubleshooting my wifes 99 sportage.
He was adjusting the throttle to overcome a MAF error(P0103) and bumped the TPS wires. The car instantly stalled, I was in the car gathering up tools and the next thing I know he had removed the terminals from the connector without writing where they went. He put the terminals directly on the TPS. They are not in order.
Now I have NO Idea where they actually go.
I am also finding issues with the schematics and diagnostics for error code P0123 instructions because I am not CERTAIN where they go.
If you have a 99 Sportage please have mercy on my soul and physically LOOK at the connector wires on your TPS and tell me what color they are attached from the top of connector downwards? Please?

Hi,
Thank you so much.
I have that link and schematic, however, it is inconsistent with the same site's trouble code diagnosis procedure. They say:
If voltage is below specification, locate source of open or high resistance between (TPS) C144-3 and (ECM) C211-73. If voltage is above specification, check for short to battery between (TPS) C144-3 and (ECM) C211-73.
Repair as necessary
According to that schematic, the wires are not the same wire that terminates in the ECM connector at c211-73 as you would test the resistance on.
It would be very good to get a first hand visual from someone who owns the same make and year vehicle, and have them tell me what they see when they pop the hood.

Thanks,

Robert

The further I look into this the more conflicted the schematics and diagrams are.
and I mean right on the same page!
Please someone pop their hood and take a look at the wires on their 1999 Kia Sportage.
When redoing wiring certainty is everything.
It is 3 wires on the TPS connector, I just need a description, say from the top down.
Thanks so much,

So looking at the ETM, you should have 5 volts approx. at (TPS) C144-3, the yellow with green stripe wire. Check for resistance between (TPS) C144-1 yellow with black stripe wire and (ECM) C211-73 same color wire. And check the resistance between (TPS) C144-2 green with yellow stripe wire and (ECM) C211-71 same color wire.

heres pic of TPS pulled from Alldatapro.com. Good luck.

Thank you so much for replying to my post.
The description you gave will help me immensely.
The picture diagram somehow has the wires in a different place.
I am gonna go with what you told me, it matches up with the actual schematic.
Thank you again,

Yea, for whatever reason, some of the ETM wiring colors don't match with whats on the vehicles. I've only run into this a few times, but wastes time when you have to determine the proper wiring setup.

In the end....after all the heartache...
The diagram above is correct...
Even the schematic is wrong...
Just wanted to let it be known in case someone pulls this thread later on for their own use.
Pin 1 Green/yellow
Pint 2 yellow/green
Pin3 Black/yellow

Hope this helps the next guy.
