98 Sportage checkengine light
My Kia is a 4x4 with just 60,000 miles on it. 5 weeks ago, I had the mechanic replace all of the belts and seals, change the oil, replaced the water pump and changed the oil. It was working fine. Just routine maintenance. Last Wednesday, I went over to Costco and filled my tank. On the way home, when the engine idled it was occasionally a bit rough. The next day, I'm leaving my house and I have absolutely no power. I can barely do a couple of miles an hour. And my Check Engine Light was solidly on. I pulled over, popped the hood, and checked everything. Everything looked good. When I restarted the engine, the light was off and the car ran fine. I drove over to an auto parts store and got some water in gas remover. Today, I filled up at Costco again. I drove home and let the car sit. A couple of hours later, I started it up again with no problem. I drove about three miles and went to Home Depot. When I went to go home, the check engine light was solidly on again. So I stopped at the auto parts store for some more water in the gas remover. Is it my gas or something else?
