Default 2001 Kia Sportage tranny problem

My Kia has been pretty good to me, but here lately the transmission is starting to act up. It has 156k miles and runs great. Starts on 1st try since I bought it with no problems (4yrs and 100k miles later).

The transmission (manual) now all of the sudden it is having shifting problems. I cant shift it out of 1,3, or 5th gear without just pulling as hard as I can on the gear shift and yanking it out of gear. This is whether it is running or not. Now I thought it was a clutch problem but I don't have any issues shifting in and out of 2,4, or reverse. I also have no problem shifting into 1,3,or 5th only shifting out of those gears.

I hope the transmission isnt going bad, but I figure that this is what is happening. Any ideas?
