Default Sportage 60,000 mile service-$1500??

Hi! My first day here, but 2nd sportage..this one's a 2006. We're approaching the 60K mile mark and were informed today by our dealer that this service would be $1500...that really hit hard! Is this reasonable? Help! Thanks much!

it depends what they are doing for the 60k service? at my dealer everything is broken up the 60k service (drain/fill trans & coolant, fuel filter, air filter, oil change, tire rotate, battery service) costs $389.95, timing belt costs $389.95, tune up costs $389.95.

1500 is kinda pricey I would say. We are talking about timing belt, fluids, oil, tires, some other inspection, but I would not expect 1500. Maybe 1000. Belt is the most expensive part to replace (labor itself). Talk to them and get detailed quote. I believe they may reduce the price.

I think the 60k service entails timing belt replacement, if thats the case the price is not too bad.
